Lawyer of the Year Stacey Shortall talks about helping mothers in prison

Stacey Shortall is one of New Zealand’s top lawyers. She represented Pike River mine directors including chief executive Peter Whittall, started the “Have you helped someone today?” social media movement with a question in a speech, but it was her work outside the office that won her the 2015 Lawyer of the Year award. She talks about being a New York lawyer, being a mentor for society’s vulnerable people and having Hillary Clinton over for dinner.
